Program Description
Families First is Utah’s premier in-home behavioral intervention program with proven results. Our specialists meet parents and youth in their homes to teach them skills that change unwanted behaviors, empower parents, and improve family well-being.
How it Works
A specialist works with a family and its members, together and individually several times a week for about 12 weeks on average. While in the home, they act as an ally of the parents and a mentor to the family, teaching proven methods of the Teaching-Family Model for changing behaviors.
Who We Serve
We serve families all across the state with parents that have a variety of needs and have child(ren) with a range of variety of behavioral and/or emotional problems.
How We Measure Success
We track the success of Families First by adhering to the accreditation requirements of the Teaching-Family Model and The Council on Accreditation (COA), tracking client outcomes, and utilizing consumer evaluations.
