- Painting/Landscaping/Gardening: Join us at the beautiful Alpine Academy campus in Erda, Utah, to paint fences, provide seasonal landscaping and general sprucing up!
- Special Events: Assist with our annual Helping Hands Gala fundraiser, solicit silent auction gifts and in-kind donations, day of event registration and onsite decorating. If you’re really brave – start your own fundraiser for Utah Youth Village!
- Monthly Activity Kits for Foster Care Families: Every month we distribute activity kits to our 30 amazing Foster Care families. These kits encourage our families to learn and spend time together. Examples:
- Back to School kits– school supplies, backpacks, homework best practices
- Internet Safety kits – info on how to be safe on the internet, crafts or card games the family can play together instead of being online
- Family Night Out kits – tickets to the movies and dinner, painting classes
- Calm Down kits – fidget spinners, coloring books, weighted blankets
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Make a difference in our community, add purpose to your day, build team morale, and give hope to those who need it! Share your time and talent with Utah Youth Village!
- Sub For Santa: Every year, we provide Christmas presents to our foster children as well as low income families from our Families First program. Help us by providing gifts for all of our families’ wish lists!
- Holiday Packages for Foster Care Families: We do something special for every holiday for our Foster Care families: Turkey dinners for Thanksgiving, Easter baskets for Easter, Ice Cream Sundaes and Fireworks for 4th of July, etc.
- 72 Hour Kits: Each Foster Care family has to have a 72 hour kit stocked and ready at any time. Examples: First aid items, batteries, whistle, can openers, maps, cell phone charger
- Birthday Boxes: Help our foster care youth and our low income families in Families First celebrate their birthdays! Each birthday box could include candles, balloons, gift cards, cake mix, etc.
- Board Service: Provide direction and oversight to the Village to help us pursue our mission. Your focus will be on the high level strategy and accountability of the organization. We are looking to grow our board to reflect the diversity of the community and populations we serve.
