Shanna Draper

President

Shanna Draper was named Program Director/Vice President of Operations at Utah Youth Village in 2007.

Under Shanna’s leadership Utah Youth Village has grown from a small nonprofit serving dozens of families each year, into one of Utah’s largest and most respected nonprofits focusing on child and family services and well-being.

The Village is now providing services to thousands of youth and families in every county in Utah and thousands more around the world via the online Smarter Parenting program.

Shanna first joined the Village as its first in-home worker for the Families First program in 1994. Due to her strong work ethic, innovative approach and results-driven mentality, Shanna moved up the ranks to eventually become the Director of Families First.

She has also become known and respected nationally for her efforts and advocacy in the field and serves on several national advisory boards.

Since 2012-2022 Shanna served as a board member for the International Teaching-Family Association (TFA). She also served on TFA’s Accreditation and Ethics Committee from 2006-2015. Shanna has been the President of the Utah Provider’s Association and has served on numerous State delegations and committees aimed at improving services for youth and families.

Before coming to Utah Youth Village, Shanna coached college basketball at her alma mater and worked in the field of sports medicine as a Certified Athletic Trainer.

Shanna received her Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Utah University where she graduated summa cum laude. She also received a Masters of Arts Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.

Shanna officially took over as President of Utah Youth Village in April of 2022.
